An aid, not a ruling
Only measurements taken by official FIS equipment controllers count, and the jury decides. This tool compares numbers you type in with the limits in the FIS Specifications for Alpine Competition Equipment, Edition 2026/2027 (rule 1.1.2). It does not apply FIS's measurement tolerances, does not cover children's or masters' categories, and cannot check labels, materials, bindings or anything else the specifications do not give a number for.

The limits the tool uses
All figures are from the FIS Specifications for Alpine Competition Equipment, Edition 2026/2027 (July 2026), rule 1.1.2, except stand height (rule 1.1.1).

Notes on the figures
- The maximum lengths are new in the 2026/27 edition; the 2025/26 edition set minimums only, and its adult minimum lengths and radii were the same.
- At level 2-3-4, the specifications allow first-year U18 men a 155 cm slalom ski at FIS races.
- The 2026/27 table also adds maximum weights for the ski, plate and binding together, but the detailed description in the same edition still says there is no limitation on weight; because the document disagrees with itself, the tool does not check weight.
- FIS applies measurement tolerances (for example on length) after averaging repeated measurements; the tool does not apply them. Masters' figures are mostly recommendations, and the children's categories have their own columns, which are not covered here.
